Top Ten Tuesday: Fictional Leaders I’d Follow Into Any Mischief

Top Ten TuesdayTop Ten Tuesday is an original blog meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is “Ten Characters Who Would Make Great Leaders (Leaders of what? That’s your decision. Who could lead a country, an army, a book club, a classroom, etc. Or maybe characters that would be trendsetters?)” I thought I’d have a little fun and for this week’s TTT, I’m listing characters I’d follow into any kind of mischief. These are characters who are natural leaders and despite the fact that their plans might fall apart completely, I’d still follow for the fun of it. Covers are linked to Goodreads.

1. Lara Jean from To All the Boys I’ve Love Before by Jenny Han – I have such a soft spot for this girl. She kind of reminds me of myself as a teen and despite all her flaws, I’d follow her anywhere.

2. Simon from Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli – You know those characters who you’d love to be friends with in real life? Simon is one of those.

3. Harry Potter from HP by J.K. Rowling – I’d like to think I’d be the voice of reason among Harry and his friends, but in all honesty, I’d probably partake in a few bad choices along with them.

4. Kami from The Lynburn Legacy by Sarah Rees Brennan – Love Kami and her crew. They are always up to something and I also want to be up to that something with them.

5. Sage from The Ascendance Trilogy by Jennifer A. Nielsen – I still need to finish this series, but Sage is so delightfully clever I’d follow after him in a heartbeat.

6. Astrid from A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab – If I was evil (and not in the I’m going to contemplate ways to dismember you, but in the actual physical removal of your limbs kind of way), I’d follow Astrid into some very nefarious scheming.

7. Kaz from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo – Probably not my best idea, but do you know how much I’d love to be a part of Kaz’s team?

8. Kamala from Ms. Marvel by G. Willow Wilson – What if you also discovered you had superpowers along with Kamala? What if you learned how to control them and balance superhero life alongside her? Where do I sign up?!

9. Zacharias from Sorcerer to the Crown by Zen Cho – Humble leaders are hard to come by, which makes Zacharias one of the best.

10. Desi from I Believe in a Thing Called Love by Maurene Goo – Desi has already proven herself to be incredibly driven. So what if her ideas about love aren’t the most thought out? I’d still go along for the laughs.

Would you follow any of these characters? Which fictional leader would you follow into mischief? Let me know in the comments and be sure leave a link to your own TTT post, so I can visit.
