Top Ten TuesdayTop Ten Tuesday is an original blog meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic: “April 14: Top Ten Inspiring Quotes from Books (anything that inspires you, challenges you, makes you think, encourages you, etc.).” Here are some of my favorite book quotes that have stayed with me long after I’ve closed the book.

Ten Inspiring Book Quotes:

3. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley:

“Beware; for I am fearless, and therefore powerful.”

4. The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank:

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

5. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling:

6. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen:

7. The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton:

8. Inkheart by Cornelia Funke:

9. Coraline by Neil Gaiman:

10. Son of the Shadows by Juliet Marillier:

“Don’t you long for something different to happen, something so exciting and new it carries you along with it like a great tide, something that lets your life blaze and burn so the whole world can see it? Something that touches you with joy or with terror, that lifts you out of your safe, little path and onto a great, wild road whose ending nobody knows? Don’t you ever long for that?”
