This Week’s Question:

Tell us about a book character you’d trade places with.

I’ve thought about this a lot and I was going to pick one Blue Sargent because who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by Raven Boys? But then it occurred to me: Luna Lovegood. Luna is very sweet and though she is odd, she is absolutely at ease being who she is. She is never influenced by the negatively around her, so there is much to admire about Luna.

This Week’s Question:

What book/series do you think would make a better TV show than a movie?

I’m torn between saying Jonathan Maberry’s Benny Imura series and Ally Carter’s Gallagher Girls series. Zombies vs. Spies-in-training, both are great and the protagonists show a lot of character development throughout the series. I’d watch either in a heartbeat.

This Week’s Question:

Social Share! What is your favorite social network and leave us a link so we can join you!

I’m not too into social networks, but I have recently been stung by the tumblr bug. If I didn’t have this book blog, I would probably spend far too much time on my tumblr blog. Tumblr is really a bad place for people like me who find looking at pictures of books to be a valuable use of time. So many pretty books, it’s like window shopping that sometimes results in me hunting down the books and buying them anyways. Tumblr also functions as a way to keep track of my obsession with the t.v. show Arrow and Olicity which is quickly getting out of control. You can find my tumblr blog here.

This Week’s Question:

What is the biggest city you live near (or interesting landmark)? Show us a postcard picture.

I live in California. Whenever I tell anyone this, they immediately ask if I live in Los Angeles. No, I do not. I do live about an hour and a half away from L.A., right between it and San Diego. Yes, it is sunny. This would be great if we actually had a winter and got a break from the heat. Right now it’s 102ºF (that’s 38ºC for those not in the U.S.) as I type this.

But I actually love where I live because it’s far enough away from the big cities and close enough that if I need to go there, I can. I can drive to the beach, the desert, and the mountains. Yes, we have earthquakes and sometimes I don’t even notice. Fire season is the worse because we can have a dozen wildfires going at once and the air quality is awful. No, I don’t go to the beach all the time and yes, I do say “dude”.
