Top Ten Tuesday is an original blog meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and is currently being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is “Halloween Freebie.” Halloween is coming really fast and I am currently trying to read about three different books before it does. So today I’ll be doing a quick and easy topic by sharing with you the last ten horror books I’ve added to my TBR. Covers linked to Goodreads.
1. White Horse by Erika T. Wurth
2. Man Made Monsters by Andrea L. Rogers
3. The Death of Jane Lawrence by Caitlin Starling
4. The Spite House by Johnny Compton
5. We Don’t Swim Here by Vincent Tirado
6. I’m Not Supposed to Be in the Dark by Riss M. Neilson
7. Fever Dream by Samanta Schweblin
8. Lord of the Fly Fest by Goldy Moldavsky
9. The Haunting of Alejandra by V. Castro
10. Infested by Angel Luis Colón
Do you have any of these on your TBR? What’s the last horror book you added to your TBR? Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave me a link to your own TTT post, so I can visit!
I want to fit some horror in too before Halloween! I love the look of Lord of the Fly Fest.

I don’t read much horror – Stephen King and Dean Koontz were my go-to for that genre but they’ve both kind of moved away from it recently. Manmade Monsters looks appropriately creepy!

The Spite House and We don’t Swim Here immediately draws my attention. I leave my scary reads for this time of the year and then unpack them all. Love it!
Happy Halloween!

The cover for “I’m Not Supposed To Be In The Dark” is so pretty. I’m not a horror reader but a recent book I added to my TBR was Marked – PC and Kristen Cast, I’ve always wanted to read the House of Night books and never have.

Yes, I added that book to my TBR based on the cover first before I knew it was horror. I’ve heard of the House of Night books but haven’t read them myself. I hope you enjoy!

I had The Death of Jane Lawrence on my TBR but I saw so many not-so-great reviews of it, it really made me hesitate!

I’m not really a big horror person, the last one I read was Not Even Bones about two years ago, and I’d probably call that more fantasy than horror! Or at least fantasy with horror elements.

I haven’t read any of these books, but I have heard of The Death of Jane Lawerence. I currently forget what it’s about, but I remember it sounded interesting.
This isn’t a horror book, more of a mystery thriller, but In A Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware is one of my favorite mystery thriller books that I have read.

I haven’t read In a Dark, Dark Wood, but I did read The Woman in Cabin 10. I don’t read too many mystery thrillers, but should really change that.

Oh, In A Dark, Dark Wood is such a good book! Totally recommend! So many twists and turns, so good! I actually have The Woman in Cabin 10, but haven’t read it yet. Any good?
Some other great mystery thrillers are Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty, and We Were Liars by E. Lockhart (people seem to either really like or dislike this book, but I totally loved it!).

It’s been a few years, but I think I enjoyed it overall. I’ve read Gone Girl and We Were Liars and enjoyed them both. I haven’t read Big Little Lies though. Will have to look into that one. Thank you!

No problem 🙂 There was also a TV adaptation of Big Little Lies that was made that had two seasons!
