This week’s topic is “Halloween Freebie.” Halloween is coming really fast and I am currently trying to read about three different books before it does.   2. I don’t read much horror – Stephen King and Dean Koontz were my go-to for that genre but they’ve both kind of moved away from it recently. Manmade Monsters looks appropriately creepy!

    I haven’t read any of these books, but I have heard of The Death of Jane Lawerence. I currently forget what it’s about, but I remember it sounded interesting.

    This isn’t a horror book, more of a mystery thriller, but In A Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware is one of my favorite mystery thriller books that I have read.

      1. Oh, In A Dark, Dark Wood is such a good book! Totally recommend! So many twists and turns, so good! I actually have The Woman in Cabin 10, but haven’t read it yet. Any good?

        Some other great mystery thrillers are Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty, and We Were Liars by E. Lockhart (people seem to either really like or dislike this book, but I totally loved it!).
