Top Ten Tuesday is an original blog meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and is currently being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is “Favorite Bookstores OR Bookstores I’d Love to Visit.” Since it is Latinx Heritage Month, I thought I would highlight bookstores that are Latinx-owned for this topic. It’s a great time to shop indie and support both Latinx authors and Latinx-owned bookstores!
1. Boogie Down Books
2. Booklandia
3. The Bookmark
4. The Bronx Is Reading
5. Cafe Con Libros
6. Duende District
7. LibroMobile
8. The Lit. Bar
9. Mija Books
10. Third House Books
Are you familiar with any of these bookstores? Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave me a link to your own TTT post, so I can visit!

What a smart twist and way to feature some under represented bookstores! No, I don’t know any of these bookstores but I don’t expect to know any of them on ANY list this week. Great list.

I haven’t heard of any of these book stores but that isn’t surprising since i’m across the ocean haha. I love the theme you picked though 🙂

A great way to narrow down the bookshop choices! I narrowed mine down by bookshops relatively near me, then the UK then the world!
Have a great week!

I love how you’ve tied in this week’s topic to Latinx Heritage month! 😃 I haven’t heard of any of these but if I ever make it to that side of the world again, I’d definitely be keen to support them. Great list!

Cafe Con Libros sounds like just the kind of bookstore I’d love to visit, sadly the UK to US commute would be a a bit far!

I’ve only been to one of the bookstores you named, but other Latinx-owned bookstores in Los Angles are Tía Chucha’s Centro Cultural & Bookstore in
Sylmar, CA http://www.tiachucha.org and Booklandia in Oakland, CA http://www.booklandiabox.com There are others in LA, but I haven’t been to them yet.

Thank you for sharing. This just made me think how amazing a road trip to Latinx-owned bookstores around the country would be.

Great twist on the subject! There’s a great Latinx-owned bookstore in Phoenix called Palabras. I’ve never been, but my daughter loves it there.
Happy TTT!

I love this! 😀 I need to be better at deciding where my money goes. I often just choose what’s most convenient which is Amazon. I do love supporting my local independent bookstore as well. If I ever go to some of these locations with diversely-owned shops, I’ll definitely check them out and support them! 😀 Thanks for the amazing list.
