Top Ten Tuesday is an original blog meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and is currently being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is “Books With a Unit of Time In the Title.” Why was this week’s topic so hard?! I had a really narrow view of what was expected for this prompt, but when I remembered things like the time of the day or seasons are also units of time, it was way easier. Though it was difficult not to just name a bunch of books with “night” in it, haha. Covers linked to Goodreads.
1. One Hundred Nights of Hero by Isabel Greenberg
2. The Year of the Witching by Alexis Henderson
3. Summer of the Mariposas by Guadalupe Garcia McCall
4. All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill
5. The Mirror Season by Anna-Marie McLemore
6. Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
7. Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo
8. Our Way Back to Always by Nina Moreno
9. Night of the Mannequins by Stephen Graham Jones
10. The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin
Did you find this week’s topic difficult? Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave me a link to your own TTT post, so I can visit!
Great book title choices. If I just had to rely on my memory, I’d never have come up with 10, but luckily I keep my tracking in Excel and it’s easy to search. Here’s my list if you’d like to visit: https://www.bookshelfjourneys.com/post/ttt-unit-of-time-in-title

I would have been lost if I hadn’t browsed my Goodreads read list.

Your list of books made it seem like this week’s activity was easy. I found it hard. I guess I forgot about Midnight and Day as periods of time. Anyway, here is my list.

I was stressing until it occurred to me that I was thinking too narrowly.

Yes to The Year of the Witching – and thanks for the reminder to read it too!
This is my list of books containing a unit of time in the title.

It really is amazing how many time related books there are! I actually haven’t heard or read any of our choices and I have 24 books on my list!
Happy TTT!

I struggled this week so had to stretch it a little bit! I obviously don’t read enough books with units of time as a title!
Hope you have a great week!

Right? I am surprised that I couldn’t find more books that followed a “100 days of…” kind of formula.

Yes, it was quite surprising really. I had to go through my Goodreads list of books that I have read a couple of times 🤣

Great list. I didn’t think of night as time unit, it would’ve been easier to produce a longer list. We have The Year of the Witching in common, which is on my Fall 2022 TBR.

Great list! I didn’t think of the seasons as time unit… Didn’t think this topic would be so hard!

Before it all clicked, I didn’t think I was going to be able to do this topic at all. It was so difficult.

I also found this week’s topic pretty hard, but I managed it once I included “today” and “yesterday” in the titles

I had such a hard time this week! I ended up using Numbers in titles because I couldn’t think of anything — though it might have just been my brain was not working at the time!
You did great, though!

I almost went with numbers because of how difficult I found it at the beginning, so it’s understandable!

I really should read The Fifth Season one of these days!

I would have done all the nights and even snuck in some midnights or fortnights, haha. Thank you.

Like you I definitely found it much easier when I figured out you could use things like “night” and “dawn” and “seasons” as they are also units of time.
