Top Ten Tuesday is an original blog meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and is currently being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is “Books I Hope Santa Brings/Bookish Wishes.” Hello, friends, I hope your December is going well. This week’s topic is all about our wishlists. I already know I will have at least a few books under the Christmas tree come the 25th, but probably like every other bookworm, the list of books I would like never really truly dwindles. Here are ten books I would be delighted to get this holiday season. If you would like to see my full wishlist, you can find it here. Covers linked to Goodreads.
1. The Last Final Girl by Stephen Graham Jones – I have a couple of Stephen Graham Jones books on my wishlist, but this one in particular has really piqued my interest.
2. Sia Martinez and the Moonlit Beginning of Everything by Raquel Vasquez Gilliland – I LOVED Raquel Vasquez Gilliland’s sophomore novel, How Moon Fuentez Fell in Love with the Universe, so I am very eager to pick up her debut novel.
3. The All-Consuming World by Cassandra Khaw – I really enjoyed Cassandra Khaw’s Nothing But Blackened Teeth. This sci-fi sounds like it has some horror elements and also the found family trope, so I must read it.
4. Eartheater by Dolores Reyes – Eartheater was an incredible read. I listened to the audiobook, but I would really like a physical copy.
5. Eva Evergreen: Semi-Magical Witch by Julie Abe – I’ve been eyeing this one for a while. It just looks so utterly charming.
6. The Order of the Pure Moon Reflected in Water by Zen Cho – I read a library copy of this one and adored it. It would be nice to own a copy.
7. A Sprinkle of Sprits by Anna Meriano – This second book went out of stock for a while, so I actually own the first book and the third book in this series but not this one.
8. The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo – I’ve heard so many good things about this novella series and I have a feeling I will love it as well.
9. Bad Witch Burning by Jessica Lewis – I somehow haven’t read this one even though I love witches.
10. The Good House by Tananarive Due – I really want to read this one, but it is really thick and I think having it in my hands would be better than getting a copy from the library and worrying I would have to return it before I finished.
Have you read any of these? Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave me a link to your own TTT post, so I can visit. And Merry Christmas and happy holidays, friends!
I hope you get all your bookish wishes! Here’s my TTT if you’re interested: https://www.howdidthatbookend.com/top-ten-books-i-want-santa-to-bring/

SIA MARTINEZ is one I meant to read this year. I even checked it out of the library once, but I didn’t have time to read it before it came due. It sounds like such a good read! Maybe in 2022. I hope you enjoy all these!
Happy TTT!

This is a lovely list. Zen Cho is totally an author I’ve been meaning to read — and it helps that she always has amazing covers.
On a sidenote, I don’t think I’ve ever heard the term ‘sophomore novel’ before, but it’s great 😆

I really hope you received some of these because they are GOOD choices! I loooved Bad Witch Burning and The Empress of Salt and Fortune (and IMO the next book in the series is even better, which is saying a lot). Last Final Girl and All-Consuming World both look fabulous, too!
