Can’t-Wait Wednesday: Children of Chicago by Cynthia Pelayo

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Tressa @ Wishful Endings where bloggers share which upcoming releases they’re most looking forward to. Join us every Wednesday and watch your TBR list multiply.

This year I want to dive into more horror and I am especially excited about horror novels coming out that are written by Latinx authors. High on my TBR is Cynthia Pelayo’s Children of Chicago which takes the story of the Pied Piper and turns it into a murder mystery. I personally think the Pied Piper story is already pretty creepy on its own, so I am excited to see what Pelayo does with this one. Cover is linked to Goodreads.

  1. “…keeping a promise she made long ago with her sister’s murderer…”

That completely got my attention. The Pied Piper was one of my favorite stories as a kid and this looks like it’ll be a great modern retelling. Hope you enjoy it!
