Last year was the first year I did a rundown of reading stats. I really enjoyed crunching the numbers and taking a closer look at who I was reading and what I was reading. I thought I would do the same for 202 and hopefully make this an annual thing. This post comes a little late, but it’s still January, so posting 2020 stats is still acceptable, right? If you are interested in taking a look at last year’s post, you can find it here.
2020 Reading Stats: Who and What Did I Read This Year

It was fun to see how you did this year! Great job!

Yes, do it! I didn’t get a chance to revamp it this year, but I love what other bloggers are doing with their stats as well.

Some great stats! I’m glad to see you also read many 4 and 5 star books. Somehow 2020 just seemed a good year for that. It had to be good for something. 😉

I don’t keep track of all my stats, but it’s really fun to see other people’s posts. I like how you set yours up. Great job on having mostly 4 star reads and reading tons of diverse books too!

I have not noticed the backlist vs 2020 releases stat for other blogs but I feel like a 50/50 split may be pretty unique? Now I want to take a look at mine, which I would predict is majority backlist but I’m not sure by how much…

Do it, I’d love to see this stat on other blogs as I am very curious.

I counted it up and it seems I read about 30% 2020 releases and 70% backlist. I felt I read a lot of new books last year! So that might be high for me.

It looks like you had a really good reading year, so many books you liked! I don’t keep track of my stats for star ratings but it’s such a good indicator of what kind of reading year you have.

I love reading stat posts like this! I was hoping to do one for my 2020 books, but didn’t get the chance to. I definitely want to try for this year though.
I’ve been reading more standalone books over the last few years because I have so many series that I am behind on and I feel guilty starting new series when I have so many I need to finish. BUT it also makes me sad, because I know I’m missing out on some really great new series UGHH. Feel like it’s never a win with this haha.
It looks like you had a pretty great year! 🙂

Yes, there are so many series. One of the reasons I reread is because it’s so hard to remember what happened with the time between sequels and the fact that there are so many series to keep track of. I just can’t quit them though!
