Top Ten Tuesday is an original blog meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. and is currently being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is “Winter 2018 TBR.” There are too many amazing sounding books coming out this winter. I don’t have a concrete list of books I want to get to, and I’m not sure which of these I will be able to read, but I am excited for all these winter 2019 releases. Covers are linked to Goodreads.
January 2019 Releases:
Kingdom of Copper by S.A. Chakraborty
The Wicked King by Holly Black
The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
Unmarriageable by Soniah Kamal
February 2019 Releases:
On the Come Up by Angie Thomas
Courting Darkness by Robin LaFevers
Bloodwitch by Susan Dennard
We Set the Dark on Fire by Tehlor Mejia
The Moon Within by Aida Salazar
March 2019 Releases:
The Last 8 by Laura Pohl
Dealing in Dreams by Lilliam Rivera
Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton
Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi (cover not released yet)
The True Queen by Zen Cho
Internment by Samira Ahmed
Are you excited for any of these releases? Which winter release are you most looking forward to reading? Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave me a link to your own TTT post, so I can visit.
I never end up following my seasonal TBRs, but it’s still fun to create the lists. Hope you enjoy these books if you read them, Alicia. Happy Winter TBR-ing. 🙂

TBRs are definitely pretty hard for me to follow (especially because I’m such a mood reader)! YESS Bloodwitch and Internment! Those are definitely two I’m hyped for 🙂

I need to read The Cruel Prince so I can be excited about The Wicked King as well haha! And Courting Darkness, the new LaFevers book, has me interested too, since I read Grave Mercy but none of the sequels- I may have to dip my toes back into that series.

Yes, give in to the hype! I think past characters make appearances in Courting Darkness, so yeah, you may have to finish the original series.

The True Queen! But you knew that. 😀 Dealing in Dreams also looks very interesting!

I’m curious about The Wicked King. It’s no secret I didn’t love The Cruel Prince as much as others, but I’m still curious where the story takes us. I am loving the cover for The Moon Within. That one’s completely new to me.

I’m glad you’re still interested in the series. I hope it ends up improving for you. The Moon Within is a middle grade, novel in verse. Can’t wait to read that one.

HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU FIND SUCH DIVERSE BOOKS????

Haha, magic. No, I try to make sure I follow a wide variety of people of Twitter and that’s usually where I hear about diverse releases. I’ve also been know to browse lists of books by PoC that people put together on Goodreads or blogs.

YES. So many interesting titles. I’m so excited to start my galley of Courting Darkness. I am trying to wait until the new year so I don’t end up posting the review too too early, but I have a feeling I am going to cave and read it early since I have like 0% self control. The same goes for Internment. SO beyond exciting for The Everlasting Rose and On the Come Up. Two of my most anticipated releases of 2019 for sure!

It’s always hard to hold on to ARCs and not touch them until closer to the release date. I hope you end up loving Courting Darkness. Love all the sophomore novels being released and for the conclusion of The Belles duology.

Unfortunately, some of these are not the first book in a series but one I’m quite looking forward to is The Wicked King – I didn’t love The Cruel Prince but it left me super intrigued to find out what happens next. I also feel like I need to read Chakraborty’s series based on all the wonderful things everyone keeps saying about it.
Thanks so much for sharing, Alicia!
