Top Ten Tuesday is an original blog meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. and is currently being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is “Books with Sensory Reading Memories (where I was, what time of year it was, who I was with, what I was eating, etc.).” This was a tough topic for me, not because I don’t associate certain books with certain memories, but because it doesn’t occur to me that I’ve linked them to a certain time in my life until I am rereading them. This doesn’t happen often. So for this week’s topic, I’m listing books on my shelf that I have kept for sentimental reasons and not necessarily because I intend to reread them. I’ll probably give most of these away at some point, after all the sentimental feelings dissipate. Covers are linked to Goodreads.
1. Undercover by Beth Kephart
2. Chime by Franny Billingsley
3. The Assassin’s Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke
4. Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement-Moore
5. Shug by Jenny Han
6. Beauty by Robin McKinley
7. The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley
8. Savvy by Ingrid Law
9. The Sorrows of Young Werther by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
10. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
