I…don’t know what happened in April. I felt that I started out the month strong reading-wise and then I just got super busy and found it really hard to make time to read. I somehow managed to read four books in April which is the least amount of books I’ve read in a month so far this year, but it still feels like it’s an accomplishment because I wasn’t sure I would get through two. I finally took steps to revamp on old feature (new posts for this will go up in May) and started working on the Summer 2018 Comment Challenge which will be open for signups starting tomorrow (so come back to the blog to find out more!) April just went by so fast for me and I don’t have much to say about it other than now that it’s over, I can’t believe it’s already May.

April did blow past so quickly! It’s really hard to believe it’s May 1st already. Where is this year going?! I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read Dread Nation or not, but since you loved it so much I’m definitely adding it to my list!

My April was super-busy as well and I read way less books than I normally do. Looking forward to your review on To Kill a Kingdom!

I thought I had a good thing going at the beginning of the month. Four is still a good number with how busy and slumpy I was.

I can’t believe it’s May, either. Where does the time go?
I’m looking forward to your review of Dread Nation! I have to admit it doesn’t sound at all my cup of tea (zombies), but if you say it’s the best book you’ve read all year…
I’m looking forward to Monday’s Not Coming as well! I’m not too up-to-date on May releases, but I know Anger Is a Gift is coming out, and that was the best book I read last month.

Dread Nation is so much more than zombies. I cannot praise it enough. Can’t wait to share my review. I’ve heard about Anger Is a Gift. I need to add to my TBR.

Based on this post, it looks like you did a lot in April! During the school year especially, I only review one book per week, so to me that sounds quite normal. How many books would you ideally read per week?

If I say seven, would that be absurd? Really, I’d like to read at least seven books in a month (o about two a week), but I’ve been averaging about five per month. I might have to adjust my Goodreads goal, just so I don’t start panicking about not meeting it.

Do that. You’ve got other things going on in your life. And it’s not that READING 2 books per week is hard, it’s REVIEWING. If you like to exercise or walk a pet, you can also get into audio books. I have 2 audio book reviews coming up because I listen on my commute.

I think I will, regardless of how many I read between now and then. Yes, reviewing can take days sometimes because writer’s block is the worse. I actually work on my reviews while walking my dog, ironically.

April has probably been one of the fastest months of the year so far. It’s great that you were still able to read four books even with ending up being really busy. I am looking forward to From Twinkle too!
