Am I the only one who has been holding their breath for October? Even though the weather hasn’t quite cooled where I am, I’m very much ready for all things fall and Halloweenish. You may have noticed that the blog looks slightly different and that’s because I will be celebrating my favorite holiday all October long. I have a variety of posts planned including my TBR list for this month (will go up tomorrow), a post about some of my favorite spooky television shows, and a list of thrillers that will keep you up at night. I hope you stick around all month long and celebrate with me. Happy October to all my fellow Halloween enthusiasts!
Are you planning any specific Halloween-themed posts this month? Any scary books or movies you’re planning to check out this month?
Looking forward to your posts! I’ve also got a few Halloween themed posts coming up too! 🙂

I was having a blast putting them together in September. I may have been a little too eager. I hope you get a chance to make some fun Halloween themed posts this month.

I haven’t decided for sure what Halloween-themed posts I’ll make, but my TBR for the most is almost exclusively spooky reads and I can’t wait! October is my favorite month of the year and I literally count down the days to October 1st every year. ❤

Halloween is my favorite. I feel like it’s the only acceptable time when my excitement fall creepy things is acceptable. Plus, I have an excuse to wear my favorite black cat earrings. Hope you enjoy all your spooky October reads!

I live for this month!! It’s the best time of the year. I’m going to make it a goal to read my first Stephen King book this month, along with several other suspenseful/creepy books.

I coerced my book club into reading We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson, which I reviewed. I’m also reading The Bad Seed by William March, which I won’t review because GTL is ladies only. I also watch a lot of horror flicks over the course of October. Some that I’ve seen are Happy Death Day, The Mummy (1932), Hotel Transylvania 2, Hocus Pocus, Gerald’s Game, The Craft, Death Proof, The Haunting (1936, based on Shirley Jackson’s The Haunting of Hill House), The Bad Seed (1954 movie based on the book), and Drag Me to Hell. Holy crap, I’ve watched a lot of movies. The old black and white ones are my favs, though I typically go 80s slasher the week of Halloween.

The Bad Seed movie is so creepy. I watched that one years ago and still think about it. I just watched Hocus Pocus. Is their a better movie to watch in October? I need to watch The Craft before the end of the month. Hope you enjoy any other horror flicks you watch!
