I’ve never participated in a bingo reading challenge before, but I’ve always found them to be really appealing. I think this challenge gives you a lot of room to work with and as a mood reader, this is really important to me. The Summer 2017 Bookish Bingo is hosted by Pretty Deadly Reviews. It takes place June through August and the goal is to get as many BINGOs as possible using the card above. I’ll be including an updated bingo card in my monthly wrap-ups just so I can keep track of my progress. There’s still time to join the fun if you’re interested. Also, I want to give a shout-out to Morgan @ The Bookish Beagle for bringing this challenge to my attention (thank you again!).
Have you taken part in a bingo reading challenge? Do you have a favorite challenge? Any strategy you use in order to ensure you get as many BINGOs as possible? Let’s discuss in the comments!
I already have my TBR planned out long before, but I hope to participate in a fun BINGO challenge one day!
This one seems cool. I’m curious about your updates on this one.

Thank you so much. I’m trying to decide if I should make a long list of books for this or just keep the card in the back of my mind while choosing books to pick up.

Yes, Lauren, that would be awesome and then we could cheer each other on!

I did the spring one for this and had a blast. I was pretty impressed with myself – only had one blank at the end (scary books – no).

Wow, that’s impressive! I love scary books myself, but notice a lot of bloggers keep away.

I think it adds a little flare to reading even if you didn’t finish them. Thank you!

I`ve never done a book bingo challenge before, but it sounds fun. I`m also a mood reader and this is perfect, as I am not constricted by a single genre. Yup, count me in, I`m doing this as well.

I really like how much room there is to work with for this challenge. I always panic when a rigid TBR list is put in front of me. Good luck, I hope you enjoy!

I feel like this bingo challenge is too easy for you. 😉 The box marked Latinx MC will be fun to mark off. Enjoy and try to make it look challenging. Hehe.

I have several for that particular box in mind. Ha, I will do my best! 😛

I never do these bingo reads because I have a hard time figuring out which book fits with which bingo spot. Sometimes the synopsis doesn’t help! Also, I’m trying to read more of my own books–not to say that my books aren’t diverse, but I’m trying to avoid bringing in even a few library reads these days!

I really need to stop checking out books from the library as well. I have so many books on my shelf that I need to get to. Hopefully, we both reach for more books on our shelves this summer.

That’s how I planned my #20BooksofSummer challenge. Last year I cleared out almost every single reviewer copy. This year: all my books.

That’s amazing. I go between feeling like I have too many unread books on my shelf to feeling like I’m running out and better add more, haha.

I’ve never done one of these but they look so fun. I’m a mood reader too so I need challenges that aren’t too restrictive lol . Good luck with this one!

Yep, I love the freedom of this bingo card. I have a lot of titles in mind, but also it gives me room to explore some titles that I may not have picked up over the summer. Thank you!

I was hoping to do more reading toward it in June, but I’m going to spend the next two months really tackling this bingo card. Good luck with your challenge!
