“The murderer truly must be a madman if he thought what he was doing was helpful or righteous. And that thought was more terrifying than any other.”

I love a good historical fiction novel and that coupled with a serial killer mystery made Kerri Maniscalco’s debut novel Stalking Jack the Ripper a real delight. Read my full review of this one hereCover is linked to Goodreads.

From the Goodreads Synopsis:

“Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord’s daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.
Against her stern father’s wishes and society’s expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle’s laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.”

  1. I’ve always loved this meme just because it gives a small insight into what a book really is about! I’ve heard a few things about Stalking Jack the Ripper, but not much! I was never a historical fiction type of reader, but I’ll definitely look into this one (: Great post, Alicia!
