I just recently finished my first ever graphic novel, Nimona by Noelle Stevenson, and am astounded by how long it took me to pick up a graphic novel in the first place. Nimona was so much fun, I loved reading about the supervillain Ballister Blackheart and his new sidekick Nimona. Review for this one will be up soon(ish?). Click on the image above to enlarge. Cover below is linked to Goodreads.

Goodreads Synopsis:

“Nimona is an impulsive young shapeshifter with a knack for villainy. Lord Ballister Blackheart is a villain with a vendetta. As sidekick and supervillain, Nimona and Lord Blackheart are about to wreak some serious havoc. Their mission: prove to the kingdom that Sir Ambrosius Goldenloin and his buddies at the Institution of Law Enforcement and Heroics aren’t the heroes everyone thinks they are.
But as small acts of mischief escalate into a vicious battle, Lord Blackheart realizes that Nimona’s powers are as murky and mysterious as her past. And her unpredictable wild side might be more dangerous than he is willing to admit.”

  1. I really need to pick up this book. I read one graphic novel awhile ago and really liked it though it took some getting used to and really meant to read more but then of course I didn’t. I’ve heard this is amazing and your enthusiasm definitely has me curious!

  2. Ahhh, looks so much fun! It’s quite a different reading experience when it comes to graphic novels. I don’t know why I don’t do it more often. 😀 I should! Look forward to your full review, Alicia. (I might have said I was coming over to this post for your full review from a TTT. Hehehe…)
