Top Ten Tuesday is an original blog meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is “All About Books You Read Because of Recommendation.” Before I start this list I want to thank all of my fellow book bloggers for sharing your favorite books with me. I had no idea how many books there really were in the world before blogging and you have all helped open up a whole new world to me. Here are a few books that I’ve picked up because of the recommendation from another blogger. Covers are linked to Goodreads.
Have you read any of these? What’s your favorite book you’ve been recommended by another blogger? Let me know in the comments and be sure leave a link to your own TTT post, so I can visit.
Giveaway Alert: If you haven’t entered my giveaway (US only) for an ARC of One Was Lost by Natalie D. Richards in celebration of Halloween, you can do so here. Ends the 14th.
Why, yes! Yes, I have read a few of these books. In fact, I have you to thank for introducing me to them. Thank you, Alicia!! I will be trying a Kasie West real soon. Promise. 😀

I’ve read quite a few of these too, because of recommendations. Bloggers are the best!

I’ve only read Cinder off your list, but I really enjoyed it. I’ve wanted to read Ava Lavender for a couple years now… not sure why I haven’t read it yet. But I’ve heard lots of good about it!! Great post 👍🏼

I wasn’t sure about Cinder for so long, but bloggers kept recommending it and I had to check it out. Ava Lavender may be the most beautiful book I’ve ever read. Hope you give it a chance!

Wow, that’s awesome. I’ll definitely have to push it up higher on my TBR now!

I haven’t read a single one of those books…but Cinder have been on my to read list since I started watching BookTube last winter. One book I’ve loved and read that came recommended from the book blogging community was ACOTAR. I would probably have picked it up at some point (I’ve read the Throne of Glass series long before going into the book-community) but it might have taken me a few years.
The Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima was also a spectacular recommendation.

I was just replying to another blogger that Cinder was a book I wasn’t sure I’d like, but bloggers seemed to love it, so I finally gave it a chance myself and loved it. Maas is a very popular author right now. I think I read the first ToG book before blogging as well.

I have read half of these, but the rest of these are all on my tbr! 🙂

I’ve only read Cinder from your list, but a few others have made my TBR list! Vengeance Road has made my wish list as it looks so different to the books I am currently reading 🙂 This is a great list- I have picked up a few more titles to add to my TBR!

Vengeance Road was a huge surprise to me. I did not expect to like it as much as I did, so I highly recommend it.

Code Name Verity has been recommended to me many many times. I’m not sure why I haven’t read it yet, I love historical fiction! I really should get on that, haha.
Great list! 🙂

You should read it, it’s actually very good.

Cinder made my list too. I wasn’t sure about it because it was right after the whole dystopian craze… and even though it’s a fairy tale retelling, it has that dystopian element to it as well. Plus a cyborg cinderella?? But OMG I was SO wrong!!
I read Tell Me Three Things this summer and thought it was okay. Did you like it?

I avoided it because of the science fiction aspect. I’m not much into space stories, but I loved this series. I did like Tell Me Three Things. I’m not a big contemporary reader, but I read a lot of contemporary books this year.

The lunar chronicles were recommended to me and is what got me back into reading again. So those are special to me 🙂

That is so special! There are a few series that I feel a real connection to because they brought me back into reading more.

Tell Me Three Things and The Bird and the Sword are two of my favorites. I’m glad you read them! Several on this list I need to read.

They were so good! I’m so glad I gave both a shot. Yes, all these are either 4 or 5 star reads for me, which I forgot to mention in my opening paragraph.

I’m the same… I had NO idea how many awesome books there were before blogging! Blogger recommendations are the best… a lot of people have said Marie Lu is a must read, but I haven’t gotten to any of her books yet. Soon hopefully…

It’s so wonderful to know there are so many books in the world (but at times, also overwhelming). I wasn’t a huge fan of Legend by Marie Lu, but her second book in The Young Elites series made me love her.

The only book I’ve read on your list is A Great and Terrible Beauty, which I LOVED. I read the entire trilogy in the span of a week or so and couldn’t get enough of the dark, captivating story. It’s the perfect mix of fantasy and historical fiction!

I still have to read the final book in the Gemma Doyle series. It was spoiled for me, so I need to prepare myself before I read it.

The Wrath & The Dawn, Cinder and Vengeance Road were all books I read and loved thanks to other bloggers!

The Lunar Chronicles is great! I bought the Wrath & the Dawn recently because I keep seeing it on blogs. Haven’t read it yet though. I’m also keen on Code Name Verity.

I loved The Wrath and the Dawn. The duology is up there with my favorites. Code Name Verity is a great historical fiction read.

I feel so much pressure to read Wrath & the Dawn. I have a feeling that book will be on my next recommendation list!

Don’t feel too much pressure! It’s an awesome book if you ever find the time.

I read both “The Wrath & The Dawn” and “Vengeance Road” because of reviews I’ve seen from other bloggers, although mostly it was the hype with TWTD! I also have “The Young Elites” on my TBR. Great list! 🙂

There was a lot of hype with The Wrath & the Dawn. It’s one of the reasons I kind of avoided it at first, but I kept getting recommend it, so I had to read it. If you don’t love The Young Elites, consider sticking with it because I think the second book is even better.

Thank you I’ll definitely keep that in mind when I (eventually) get around to reading The Young Elites! I wasn’t a big fan of Legend by Marie Lu so I’m a little cautious about this other series. 🙂

I wasn’t a big fan of Legend either. I never finished the series after the first book.

I ADORE A Great and Terrible Beauty. This is the first time I’ve seen it on a list today, so that was pretty cool! I read it way before I started blogging, but I’d recommend it to any one of my fellow bloggers on here. Awesome list this week 🙂

I haven’t been reading a lot, because I did not feel like reading, but latetly all I have been wanting to do is reading. But i do not have enough time. I do not know why but I saw your list and my body aches, wanting to read every single book in the list.

Cinder and Wrath & the Dawn! ❤
Recommendations usually go one of two ways for me. Either I try to let the hype die (which might take a while, especially with the Throne of Glass series), or I try to read it before/despite of the upcoming hype. I'm actually glad I did get into some of many blogger recommendations, though. I would not have discovered such awesome authors like Ahdieh and Schwab otherwise.

I love Ahdieh and Schwab. They are both fantastic writers and I hope we have many more years of their books. There was a time when I would have recommended the Throne of Glass series with vigor, but I think the author has kind of lost sight of her characters since the first couple of books.

I’ve heard about that! I think I read a few spoilers about one of the couples I shipped no longer being viable in the later ToG books and have outright determined to end the series by reading only the first two, haha.

Haha, yes, I’ve heard many people just say that they consider it a great duology.
