“ALBUS: You were right, Scorpius. This train is magical.

SCORPIUS: At this precise moment in time, I take no pleasure in being right.”

I finally got a chance to pick up Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a play written by Jack Thorne. I was really apprehensive about this release, being a pretty staunch Potterhead, but I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this story. Read my full review here. Cover is linked to Goodreads.

Goodreads Synopsis:

“It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

Giveaway Alert: If you haven’t entered my giveaway (US only) for an ARC of One Was Lost by Natalie D. Richards in celebration of Halloween, you can do so here.

  1. Sounds like something serious is about to happen? I remember you were apprehensive about starting this book. So glad it worked out for the best. I just knew it. “I take [all the] pleasure in being right. *Yeah, right, Lonna. Hahaha.*
