The Friday 56 is a weekly blog meme hosted by Freda’s Voice. Join us every Friday and share an excerpt from a book you’re been reading.
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader.
*Find any sentence (or a few, just don’t spoil it) that grab you.
*Add your (url) post here in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url. It’s that simple.
**Be sure to leave a link to your Friday 56 post in the comments!**
“As yet I had spoken to no one, nor did anybody seem to take notice of me; I stood lonely enough: but to that feeling of isolation I was accustomed; it did not oppress me much.”
I totally forgot to type up the excerpt I was going to use from The Wolf Wilder for this week’s 56 and when I eventually remembered, I had already returned the book to the library. So this week I’m pulling Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre off the shelves. I really want to reread this book this year. Excerpt begins at the end of page 55. Cover linked to Goodreads. Happy New Year!
