The Friday 56, #43: The Outsiders

The Friday 56The Friday 56 is a weekly blog meme hosted by Freda’s Voice. Join in every Friday, the rules are simple.

Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader.
*Find any sentence (or a few, just don’t spoil it) that grab you.
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post here in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url. It’s that simple.

“I fought, but the hand at the back of my neck was strong and I had to hold my breath. I’m dying, I thought…”

S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders is the first book I remember loving and years later I still love it. How can you not love a book with characters named Ponyboy and Sodapop? And I also happen to be a big fan of the 1983 movie adaptation. I just have one more thing to say: stay gold.
