The Friday 56 is a weekly blog meme hosted by Freda’s Voice. Join in every Friday, the rules are simple.
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader.
*Find any sentence (or a few, just don’t spoil it) that grab you.
*Add your (url) post here in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url. It’s that simple.
“I descended, minding carefully where I went, for the stairs were dark, being only lit by loopholes in the heavy masonry. At the bottom there was a dark, tunnel-like passage, through which came a deathly, sickly odour of old earth newly turned.”
Happy Halloween! Today seemed like a wonderful day to showcase Bram Stoker’s Dracula for this week’s Friday 56. I haven’t picked this classic up yet, but from reading this week’s 56, it sounds dreadfully enticing.
