The Friday 56, #4: Wildwood Dancing

The Friday 56Weekly blog meme hosted by Freda’s Voice. Join in every Friday, the rules are simple.

Rules:

*Grab a book, any book.

*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader.

*Find any sentence (or a few, just don’t spoil it) that grab you.

*Post it.

*Add your (url) post here in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url. It’s that simple.

Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier

I nodded, misery starting to settle over me like a dark blanket. Costi was gone. Costi, whom everybody loved. Watching the light sparkle on the lake water, I thought I could hear someone laughing.
“Come on, quick.” Cezar said. “We should get our story straight. We’d better practice on the way.”

Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier, my favorite fantasy author, is a retelling of the fairytale The Twelve Dancing Princesses with a little of The Frog Prince thrown in. It is as magical as the cover illustrates. Read more here at Goodreads.
